Proofreading

Editor: Steve

Proofreading is generally considered the last step of the editing and writing process, but it can be useful for pieces in progress as well. It consists of FOUR key features:

  • Correcting punctuation usage.
  • Suggesting more effective punctuation.
  • Fixing spelling errors.
  • Highlighting sentences that are incomplete or need more clarity.

Edits can be made in Microsoft Word’s comments or track changes, depending on if you prefer suggestions or flat-out changes, or in a separate letter.

The starting cost is $4 per page.
